ich kann mir vorstellen, dass es an dem ollen Plasma 5.8.9 liegt was hier zum Einsatz kommt - Plasma ist m.E. erst seit Version 5.10.5 wirklich tauglich, davor war Krampf und Würg angesagt.

Wer gerne den Plasma-Desktop benutzt, dem rate ich aktuell zu Kubuntu 18.04 - das läuft eigentlich ziemlich rund und angenehm und macht, was es soll ohne groß zu nerven.

Kubuntu profitiert aktuell gewaltig davon, dass KDE-Neon ebenfalls auf den Ubuntu-Unterbau setzt.

Und da Mint seine KDE-Version nicht mehr weiter pflegt und KDE selber an Plasma 5.8.9 bestimmt auch nix mehr korrigieren wird, wird sich höchstwahrscheinlich an der vorhandenen Situation auch via Aktualisierungen nichts mehr ändern.

Interessant wäre zu wissen welche Grafikkarten / Treiber verwendet werden. Vielleicht lässt sich dann der Fehler eingrenzen.  :o

da geht es um Kubu 16.04 und es wird die gleiche Plasmaversion verwendet wie hier in der Anfrage.

Dass es ein Mint-Problem ist, hab ich ja nirgends geschrieben - aber der Link verstärkt meinen Verdacht, dass es an der grottigen Plasma-Version 5.8.9 liegt.

Welche Grafikkarte? Kann ich meinen Grafikkartentreiber nochmals installieren? Wurde glaube ich ein Standard übernommen beim installieren.
Beim anderen Rechner musste ich einen installieren. Da taucht das Problem nicht auf.

Auf dem letzten 18.3 KDEer hier im Haus trat dieses Problem fehlender Menüs vor 2 Wochen auch auf. Ich konnte keinen Fehler eingrenzen. Das war dann auch das Urteil... Ruckzuck war Kubuntu 18.04 drauf.
