Guten Abend,

ich bin von ubuntu 16.04 zu wm: xfwm4 dm: LightDM Distro: Linux Mint 20 Ulyana gewechselt.
Vorher hat der Netzwerkdrucker Samsung M-267x
funktioniert (sowohl drucken als auch scannen).
Drucken tut er wieder, es wahr letztlich mit den Bordmitteln einstellbar.

Für das Scannen bin ich  der Anleitung unter

gefolgt.
Nach erfolgter Treiber Installation findet xsane trotzdem keine Geräte, wie nun weiter?

Zeige mal ob der smfp eingetragen wurde cat /etc/sane.d/dll.conf | grep smfp und ob der Treiber auch im richtigen Ordner liegt find /usr/ -name libsane-smfp*

Die Treiber liegen im falschen Ordner.Ein Link sollte das Problem lösen.Dazu im Terminal ausführen sudo ln -sf /usr/lib64/sane/libsane-smfp.so* /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/sane/
Danach sollte das Scannen Funktionieren. Falls nicht zeige bitte dpkg -l | egrep ippusbxd

Vielleicht liegt es daran, daß der Scanner ein Netzwerk (Kombi-) Gerät ist. Bei Ubuntu 16.04 LTS hat er aber nach Installation des Treiber von
https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/closure/samsung.... funktioniert (dann mit gscanpdf z.B.)

Entferne das Fehlerhafte Paket sudo apt purge ippusbxd
Danach sollte dein Samsung Funktionieren.

ich habe ippusbxd gepurged, aber xsane sagt leider immer noch "keine Geräte erreichbar"
(anpingen lässt sich das Teil aber). Kann es sein daß der firewall da einen Port nicht
durchlässt? Scheint bei mir aber eh nicht installiert zu sein:

Trage die Ermittelte IP des Samsung in die /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf ein. So sollte es beispielsweise sein tcp 192.168.178.34
Wenn es dann nicht Funktioniert weiß ich es nicht.

also scanimage findet deinen Scanner. Hast du mal den Dokumenten-Scanner (früher Simple Scan) ausprobiert?
Was bringt:
scanimage -TWas mir noch auffällt, ist das die libusb-0.1.4 fehlt.
Also:
sudo apt-get install libusb-0.1.4Gruß

Hast du die tcp/ip -Adresse eingetragen und den usb-Teil mit # auskommentiert...
Sollte so aussehen:
#Samsung M267x 287x Series
#usb 0x04e8 0x3461
tcp 192.168.178.30
Die Sektion #Samsung M267x 287x Series ist in der xerox_mfp.conf schon vorhanden...
So gehts:
sudo nano /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf- Strg&W suchen nach "267"
- Strg&O speichern->mit Enter bestätigen
- Strg&X Beenden

WICHTIG! Im Router diese Adresse fest einstellen!

Hallo Stephan,
mit dem Eintragen seiner Adresse in der /etc/sane.d/xerox_mfp.conf funktioniert jetzt zumindest das Scannen mit sehr niedriger Auflösung 75DPI und Lineart.
Aber: Irgendwie ist die Übertragung der Daten nach dem Scan ultralangsam d.h. gscan2pdf mit gewohnten 300DPI, Grauscale, ADF 'hängt sich auf'

Ja, ich hab sogar vorsichtshalber ALLE USB-Zeilen auskommentiert und nach dem Speichern neu gebootet.


WICHTIG! Im Router diese Adresse fest einstellen!
Ja, der Samsung bekommt immer die gleiche

Der Samsung läuft jetzt nicht mit dem smfp Treiber,sondern mit dem xerox_mfp Treiber.Der ist nur als Test von mir zu Verstehen gewesen.

Sane Funktioniert demnach -- also bleibt die Installation des Samsung Paketes als Fehlerquelle. Zeige mal locate smfpnetdiscovery

Die Eingabe wäre y und Enter oder einfach nur Enter.Deinstalliere den Samsung nochmal (uninstall.sh) und Installiere ihn wieder.

Eigentlich sind die Samsung problemlos -- hmmmm. Falls wieder scheitert unbeding mal an USB Port Testen --damit wir den Kreis mal enger machen  ;D

Jubel 1/2   per USB kann ich jetzt mit gscan2pdf wieder normal scannen
BTW: aber auch vor Anstecken des USB Kabels (3x verlängert quer durch die Bude, was sagt die Berufsgenossenschaft :)
hat er bei Änderungen am USB seltsamerweise immer per TCP den Samsung aufgeweckt

Jubel 2/2. Das Scannen geht jetzt auch über Netzwerk.

Was mir noch eine Rätsel ist: Immer wenn ich an USB etwas ändere (z.B. Maus anstecke) dann wird der Samsung angesprochen (also ggf. aus dem sleep geholt)
Und das, obwohl er am USB gar nicht angeschlossen ist.

Das ist in der Tat merkwürdig! Dazu kann ich nichts sagen -- hatte ich noch nie  ::)

Was ich noch vergessen habe:
Nicht nur bei Änderung am USB, auch beim booten des Rechners wird der Samsung, auch am Netzwerk hängend, aus dem sleep geholt.

Das ist schon nervig, wenn man spät arbeitet und nebenan jmd schläft...

Vielen, Vielen Dank von einem Mint Newbie - hatte das selbe Problem mit einem Samsung C480W MuFu. Gelöst :-) Statt Googlen lieber Forum anschauen und mitdenken.
