Wenn die externe Platte in paar Minuten nicht genutzt wird, hängt sie sich aus.

Powermanagement Einstellungen der Platte kontrollieren. Wenn du Pech hast geht das nicht über USB, sondern sie muss an einen SATA Port gehängt werden.

meist ist es das Kabel bzw. eine der Steckverbindungen...

Die Platte ist am eSATA-/USB-Anschluss eingestöpselt. Den Anschluß nutze ich seit Jahren.
Ich werde ein anderes Kabel probieren.
